{"id":810,"date":"2022-12-09T08:53:10","date_gmt":"2022-12-09T08:53:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mulberryschoolstrust.org\/stemacademy\/?p=810"},"modified":"2023-03-08T08:38:39","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T08:38:39","slug":"year-11-sail-through-model-catamaran-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mulberryschoolstrust.org\/stemacademy\/year-11-sail-through-model-catamaran-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Year 11 sail through model catamaran challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Our Year 11 Mulberry STEM Academy students worked in small groups of 3\u20134 students to complete their Silver CREST Award project.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The focus of the project was to design, build and test a model catamaran boat to determine what size, shape and structure sail would be the most effective.<\/p>\n<p>Students first learnt the basics of report writing including how to cite and reference their research, as well as how to structure a report.
