The Mulberry STEM Academy is a Saturday\/holiday and after-school provision that provides a place of learning, inspiration and innovation for young people. It was set up in Autumn 2020 by the Mulberry Schools Trust (MST) in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd \u2013 two high performing organisations in their respective fields of education and motorsports.<\/p>\n

The powerful supplementary provision provides a specialised track for children and young people aged 7 to 18 who have talent, passion and aptitude in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) education.<\/p>\n

In June 2020, Mercedes-Benz used its championship-winning Formula One team to make a global statement of its commitment to fighting racism and all forms of discrimination.<\/p>\n

The team is committed to supporting a credible programme that offers greater opportunities for people from minority ethnic backgrounds to work in the motorsport industry, and to accompanying talent from education through to the opportunity to pursue careers in the sport.<\/p>\n

The Mulberry STEM Academy gives students access to inspirational role models, imaginative teaching and rich extra-curricular experiences. Built on core values of high performance, team spirit and the continual desire for new challenges, the partnership between the Mulberry Schools Trust and Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix provides the foundations on which a lasting commitment can be built. The partnership is now in its sixth year.<\/p>\n

Whether it be through technical prowess on the race track or through innovative teaching and pastoral practices in the classroom, the partners are unafraid to step where the challenge is high, and work together to change the picture, transform lives and develop a pipeline of talent from the Trust\u2019s East and North London catchment areas.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2017, the Mulberry Schools Trust is a flourishing multi-academy trust of eight state-funded, non-selective schools serving diverse communities in the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Haringey, delivering education that is academically rigorous, personally enriching and socially just. We are committed to providing an outstanding education for all children and young people in our care. We are extremely proud of our family of schools, spanning nursery, primary, secondary, a University Technical College, a family and community learning centre and our Alternative Provision opening in 2028.<\/p>\n

The Trust\u2019s founding school, Mulberry School for Girls, leads the East London Teaching School Hub, a thriving network of local schools in Tower Hamlets and Hackney which supports the professional development of over 1,500 teachers and leaders across east London and beyond.
