Students take on university-style engineering challenge
All Year 10 and 12 students in the Mulberry STEM Academy recently took part in an exciting university-style engineering competition led by Mulberry Academy Shoreditch.
Working for three weeks in teams beyond the classroom, students designed, built, programmed and tested a robotic moving vehicle.
The challenge concluded with a high-energy competition day, where teams navigated their robots through a series of tracks and obstacles.
Students also created engineering-style posters to present their design thinking and problem-solving process – developing not just technical skills, but also creativity, teamwork and real-world STEM confidence.
