Inspiring work experience

Twenty-four Year 12 students completed a memorable week’s work experience with Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd at the team’s factory in Brackley.

Students spent each day in a different department, ranging from aerodynamics and the machine shop to test and development. The race debrief, with front row seats and the chance to ask direct questions to the technical directors, was a particular highlight. This programme is truly transformational for all participants, especially those aspiring to study Engineering at university.

It is also a wonderful opportunity to develop relationships and build character. The work experience is residential, and includes the opportunity to go out for dinner and spend social time together.

Feedback from our Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix colleagues was overwhelmingly positive. With thanks to student Aman for sharing his reflections on LinkedIn – you can read his post here.
